
Overview
3D printing is suited to early design validation, complex internal geometry, short-lead-time prototypes and low-volume production without tooling. SLA, SLS, MJF or a follow-on casting route is selected according to size, accuracy, strength, finish and quantity.
Printed parts can be depowdered or de-supported, sanded, coated, tapped, fitted with inserts and assembled to move beyond geometry checks into presentation or functional testing.
